good questions.

My dog is lost now. What do I do first?

Search your home and your usual walk routes. Call animal control in your town and the towns next to it, the shelters, and the vets near where your dog was lost. Then visit the shelters with a photo. The first hours checklist puts these steps in order.

What do I do if I see my dog?

Do not chase. A lost dog can be scared and confused, even by you. Sit down, call softly and have treats ready. If your dog likes car rides, open a car door. This advice is from the Connecticut Humane Society.

Someone says they found my dog but wants money first. What do I do?

Check first. Ask for a current photo, and ask about the mark that you kept off your posters. Never wire money or pay with a gift card. The BBB warns about this scam. If you think your dog was stolen or is for sale online, call the police.

How is it different from the Lost Pet Recovery Kit?

This kit is for dogs only. It adds the licence tag, a map of your walk routes, what to do if you see your dog, calls to the next towns, and a check for fake finders. The Lost Pet Recovery Kit covers dogs and cats in one kit.

Which paper size do I get?

All of them. The download has US Letter, A4 and A5, each in a colour and an ink-saver edition. That is 6 PDF files in one ZIP file. The ID record and the dog file hold up to 4 dogs.

How do I get the kit after I pay?

Wix, our checkout provider, emails you a download link as soon as your payment goes through. The link works for 30 days. Download the ZIP file and save it. All sales are final; if your file is broken or never arrives, we fix it fast.
